Raith Rovers Football Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Barry Robson as our new manager.

Barry commented:

The former Scotland international brings a wealth of experience from a distinguished playing and coaching career that has spanned over two decades in Scotland, England, and Canada.

Born in Inverurie, Barry began his football journey in the Rangers youth system before turning professional with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 1997.

His performances there quickly marked him as a rising star, earning him moves to Dundee United, Celtic, and Middlesbrough, amongst others.

Renowned for his physicality and technical ability in the midfield, Robson earned 17 caps for Scotland and played a pivotal role in securing major honours such as the Scottish Premier League title with Celtic and the Scottish League Cup with Aberdeen.

Since transitioning to coaching in 2016, Robson has demonstrated his ability to nurture talent and achieve results under challenging circumstances.

As caretaker manager of Aberdeen, he helped guide the Club to a third-place finish in the 2022/23 Scottish Premiership.

During his time at Aberdeen, he was awarded two SPFL Manager of the Month accolades, showcasing his tactical expertise, strong leadership, and commitment to developing young players.

Barry will take charge immediately, with his focus firmly set on building on our recent good form and pushing further up the table.
