For 2025, Govt presses enter for laptop imports

The government has approved laptop and tablet imports for 2025 with a potential mid-year review to avoid shortages. It plans to reduce imports by 5% annually, to be replaced by local manufacturing by the second half of 2025. Import approvals are valid from January 1 to December 31, 2025.
