This sounds like Bedwetting because God forbid we didn’t win a game but the only real criticism I can have of Davies so far is how he has managed the resources given to him I don’t think it’s been good enough and has caused us unnecessary problem.
Marc Leonard is a fantastic footballer and would get into many championship teams let alone every other league 1 team. It just so happens we have two even better midfielders but that doesn’t mean they should have played the amount of minutes they have and Leonard so few.
There have been games where Paik and or Iwata have looked a bit burnt out or jaded, there’s no excuse for that with someone like Leonard in the squad. With a bit of rotation all three of them should always be fresh.
It was Williamson today he’s not been great for a few games but he was atrocious today, yes he was out of position and I hope today was the death nail in the coffin of him playing anywhere else but number 10 but also he looked burnt out.
Yes we’ve had injuries etc but with the squad we have if it was properly managed like the way Fergie used to manage a squad there would be no reason for anyone looking burnt out and jaded.
Hope this proves a good learning curve for Davies for when he inevitably manages us higher up the pyramid.
