Homeowner displaced after Milwaukie house fire

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A house fire in Milwaukie left the homeowner displaced Friday morning, authorities said.

At around 7:45 a.m., Clackamas Fire crews responded to reports of the fire at 1630 Southeast Oak Grove Boulevard.

Officials said the fire started in the garage attached to the house, then extended to the attic.

Due crews working quickly to ventilate the home, authorities said the fire was under control in less than 20 minutes.

Although no injuries were reported, officials said the homeowner was displaced.

Authorities added the fire was caused by "an electrical event" in a fuse box in the garage.
