Jennings man accused of molesting 12-year-old family member

JENNINGS, La. (KLFY) -- A Jennings man is accused of forcing a 12-year-old family member to touch him inappropriately, authorities said.
Donavon Crochet, 26, of Jennings, is charged with molestation of a juvenile and two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Jennings Police received a complaint on Sunday about a man forcing a 12-year-old female to touch his penis. The victim was identified as family member.
The victim told detectives she was inside their family vehicle along with two other younger siblings when Crochet snuck inside and sat next to her. Crochet began an inappropriate conversation with the victim, which led to him grabbing the victim’s hand and forcing her to touch his penis, authorities said.
The victim notified her mother of the incident and reported it to police.
Crochet was located at his residence in Jennings. Police said Crochet admitted to the allegations and was subsequently booked into the Jeff Davis Parish jail. He is being held on $60,000 bond, according to jail records.
