ATCEMS: Two people dead after motorcycle crash in east Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Two people are dead after a motorcycle crash Wednesday evening in the 6800 block of East U.S. 290 Highway in east Austin, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
That area is along US 290 between Interstate 35 and Highway 183.
ATCEMS reported the motorcycle hit the pedestrian on the high-speed highway.
The Austin Police Department said the call came in at 8:37 p.m.
APD said westbound main lanes and the service road were shut down while first responders were on the scene.
