Capital Region restaurants set to open in 2025

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- From pizza to fish fries to Peruvian dishes, several eateries in the Capital Region are planning to open in the upcoming year. Here are the restaurant openings to look out for in 2025.

Tree House Brewing Company in Saratoga Springs

Although Tree House Brewing Company has started its beer-to-go service, the Saratoga Springs taproom is not yet open. Tree House Brewing was founded in 2011 and has breweries in Charlton, Tewksbury, Sandwich, and Deerfield in Massachusetts, and Woodstock, Connecticut. The Saratoga Springs location is on Route 9 across from Saratoga Spa State Park.

Bibulous in Saratoga Springs

Daniel and Jen Chessare, the owners of Saratoga’s Broadway Deli, are opening up a new concept in the Spa City. Bibulous will be a full-service dessert bar located at 35 Henry Street. Bibulous is set to open sometime in the new year, as the dessert bar is waiting for its permits from the city.

Ted's Fish Fry in Ballston Spa

Ted’s Fish Fry is opening a new location in the former Pizza Hut building at 2103 Doubleday Avenue in Ballston Spa. The owners do not have an opening date yet, but said it'll be sometime in 2025.

Anthony’s by Romo's Pizza in Voorheesville

Romo’s Pizza, located at 365 Feura Bush Road in Glenmont, is opening up a new shop at the old Smith’s Tavern space at 112 Maple Avenue in Voorheesville. The pizzeria is set to open sometime in the new year.

Prince Tea House in Colonie

Prince Tea House is taking the place of Hong Kong Bakery & Bistro at 8 Wolf Road in Colonie. The franchise eatery serves several types of hot tea, milk tea, smoothies, coffee, and other drinks, as well as pastries, scones, cakes, waffles, sandwiches, salads, and other appetizers. Briana Lin, who owns several restaurants in the Capital Region, is looking to open Prince Tea House in early January.

Quechua Peruvian Restaurant in Watervliet

Edith and Oscar Geronimo, the owners of Greenbush Salsa Latina in East Greenbush, are opening Quechua Peruvian Restaurant in the former Teta Marie’s Lebanese Restaurant space at 1297 Broadway in Watervliet. The Quechua menu will feature classic Peruvian dishes such as ceviche, as well as Japanese, Italian, and Spanish fusion dishes. They hope to open the restaurant in early January.

Bloom Boutique Bar & Eatery in Albany

From the owners of City Line Bar & Grill in Albany, Bloom Boutique Bar & Eatery is one of the upcoming tenants in the new The Rise | Midtown Square apartment building. The building is located at 563 New Scotland Avenue across from St. Peter's Hospital. Bloom is set to open sometime in the new year.

PrimoHoagies in Albany

PrimoHoagies is set to open in the new The Rise | Midtown Square apartment building in the first few months of 2025. The building is located at 563 New Scotland Avenue across from St. Peter's Hospital. This franchise location has the same owners as the Latham shop.

Mint Restaurant in Slingerlands

Mint restaurant in Glens Falls is opening a second location in the former Garden Bistro 24 space at 5 Vista Boulevard in Slingerlands. Mint is known for its farm-to-table dining, including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. The restaurant owners anticipate opening in Slingerlands on March 1.

Jacob & Anthony’s Grille in Clifton Park

Marrello Restaurants and Catering is opening Jacob & Anthony's Grille in the former Ninety-Nine Restaurant building in Clifton Park. This location will also include a new Bellini’s Counter. The menu will include steak, seafood, salads, sandwiches, and the classic J&A Burger. They are looking to open the restaurant in the spring.
