Wood County commissioners approve $55M budget after paying out $1.5M for ransomware attack

BOWLING GREEN — After paying a $1.5 million ransom earlier this week after computer records and systems were compromised, the Wood County commissioners approved $55 million in appropriations for 2025 and pledged to significantly increase information technology investments.
