Third eye: Hopeful of continuity, back in familiar terrain and invitationspree

Rachna Shah, a 1991-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the DoPT secretary. This marks the third full-fledged secretary for the department this year. Shah's appointment follows the recent stints of Radha Chauhan, Vivek Joshi, and Tuhin Kanta Pandey. It is hoped that Shah's tenure will bring stability to the department.
