EAGLE eyed Home Alone 2 fans have spotted a major plothole in the film’s storyline – did you catch it?
Released in 1992, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York saw Macaulay Culkin return as the iconic Kevin McAllister.

Taking to Reddit, a viewer pointed out a glaring plothole – more than three decades after the film‘s debut.
They wrote: “While Kevin is kidnapped and escorted to Central Park by Harry and Marv, he secretly records Marv talking about the planned burglary of Duncan’s Toy Chest.
“Instead of trying to foil the burglary and lead them into his Uncle’s boobytrapped home, why didn’t Kevin just go to the Police and alert them of the upcoming crime, to which he had a taped confession?”
Other Home Alone fans soon offered up their own thoughts to explain Kevin’s thinking.
One suggested: “Kevin didn’t trust any adult at that time, especially after what happened with the concierge and staff at the Plaza Hotel.
“Also, at that point in the movie, he was ‘on the run’ in his head because of what happened at the hotel, and probably thought he would get in BIG trouble if he went to the police for any reason.
“Kid logic is its own thing, too.
“Kevin just wanted to help Duncan, and did it the way he thought was best.”
Another added: “Kevin has trust issues, after all, he was ditched by his family the year before. So calling the police wouldn’t have been in character for him.”
A third speculated: “Because he’d committed credit card fraud.”
While a fourth simply stated: “Because he was a kid.”
The premise saw Kevin separated from his family during their planned trip to Miami.
