These Games Are Leaving PS Plus Next Month

0

Game subscriptions make a lot of sense: Instead of spending $60 or $70 on a single game, you spend a certain amount per month or year to access a huge list of titles. Nothing lasts forever, though, including subscription service offerings, and Sony's PS Plus is no exception. Unless you're on top of things, you may miss out on playing certain games before they leave the service.

What's more, Sony doesn't make it totally obvious what's set to leave—unless you go looking for it. As it happens, True Trophies has dug into the PlayStation Store, looking for the games that are set to leave in January. The outlet found 11 titles currently scheduled to depart next month: You have until Jan. 14 to play eight of them, and only until Jan. 6 for the other three.

This list isn't necessarily set in stone, and more games could be added as time goes on. Plus, True Trophies is pulling data from a PSN account based in the EU, so there could be some discrepancies for those of us in other regions: I've corrected the three PS Plus Essential titles below to reflect when they'll leave for North American users. The list itself should be unchanged, however. Here's what's set to leave next month, including specific dates:

  • It Takes Two (PS4/PS5, PS Plus Essential): Jan. 7

  • Temtem (PS5, PS Plus Essential): Jan. 7

  • Aliens Dark Descent (PS4/PS5, PS Plus Essential): Jan. 7

  • Resident Evil 2 (PS4/PS5, PS Plus Extra): Jan. 14

  • Dragon Ball FighterZ (PS4/PS5, PS Plus Extra): Jan. 14

  • Life is Strange (PS5/PS5, PS Plus Extra): Jan. 14

  • Life is Strange: Before the Storm (PS4, PS Plus Extra): Jan. 14

  • Just Cause 3 (PS4, PS Plus Extra): Jan. 14

  • Just Cause 4 (PS4, PS Plus Extra): Jan. 14

  • Hardspace Shipbreaker (PS4/PS5, PS Plus Extra): Jan. 14

  • Pure Hold'em (PS4, PS Plus Extra): Jan. 14

  • Legend of Mana (PS4, PS Plus Premium): Jan. 14

  • Secret of Mana (PS4, PS Plus Premium): Jan. 14

  • Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection (PS4, PS Plus Premium): Jan. 14

While the PS Plus Extra and Premium titles will be gone for good once they leave, you can keep playing the three Essential titles so long as you claim them before the deadline. For those of us in North America, that appears to be Jan. 7 by 12 p.m. ET. For the EU, that's Jan. 6, according to True Trophies.
