Year-ender 2024: Mutual funds add 5.13 crore folios this year, sectoral & thematic funds lead

In 2024, open-ended mutual funds added 5.13 crore folios, raising the total to 22.02 crore. Equity mutual funds saw the highest increase, particularly in sectoral and thematic funds. Other schemes and hybrid mutual funds also grew, while debt mutual funds experienced a decline in folios.
