Warming trend starts today, rain returns Christmas morning

Cold this morning in Acadiana but much warmer weather will build into Acadiana this week. Temperatures are in the 30s to 40s to start the day with areas of frost possible. Mostly sunny skies should push highs into the upper 60s during the afternoon. Lows tonight will fall into the upper 40s as clouds start to increase on Christmas Eve.

High temps will be in the 70s the rest of the week with lows in the 50s to 60s. A weakening disturbance is expected to move through the area Christmas morning. Scattered showers and a few storms look likely during the morning hours. Severe weather is not expected at this time.
