What We’re Tracking
- Increasing clouds tonight
- Rain South on Tuesday
- Mild for Christmas Eve/Day
After a warm and sunny day, clouds will begin to increase across northeast Kansas, with temperatures cooling into the upper 30s. It will be the warmest night we've had in a while. Winds will remain from the south, gusting up to 20 mph, bringing in more warm air for Monday. Expect temperatures to climb into the low 50s once again tomorrow.
On Monday, we’ll stay mostly cloudy, with rain chances holding off until Tuesday. Rain will begin pushing in from the south during the early hours of Tuesday. Rain tracking along and south of I-35 through Christmas Eve night before clearing out just in time for Christmas Day. No significant impacts are expected for holiday travel with this system. Temperatures will remain in the upper 40s for afternoon highs, during the holiday.
There is a possibility we see another chance for rain on Thursday, but we should manage to hold on to the mild temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s through the end of the week.
