Up to £1,000 worth of vouchers for the bargain food chain are up for grabs.

The draw is only open for this weekend, giving shoppers just 24 hours left to enter.

As Brits head out to bag their last-minute Christmas essentials, those who go to Aldi will able to claim one of the 10 £100 vouchers on offer.

In a press release, Richard Thornton, the Communications Director at Aldi said:

Richard Thornton, the Communications Director at Aldi, said: “For many of us, enjoying a festive meal with loved ones is one of the most special parts of the Christmas celebrations.

“To help make it even more special, we’re giving ten of our shoppers the chance to win their entire big Christmas food shop – allowing them to stock up on all our award-winning Christmas range for free.”

All shoppers have to do is send a picture of their receipt to the chain and they will be chosen at random to receive the voucher before Christmas.

Submissions must be sent to the following email address by 23:59 pm on December 22 – aldichristmasdinner@citypress.co.uk.

A full name and address should also be given.

The competition opened at 8 am Friday so check your bags and pockets for any eligible receipts from 20 December.

All entrants must be aged 18 or over and living in the UK.

The prize cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash and shoppers can only enter once.

Winners will be contacted by Aldi on December 23 with the vouchers going to their emails.

The German-based budget retailer has been revealed as the cheapest supermarket to buy your Christmas dinner from this year.

The Sun compared the prices of eight festive foods including turkey, sprouts, carrots and stuffing at six of the largest supermarkets to find out which was the cheapest with Aldi coming out on top.

It also featured at the top of the charts along with its rival Lidl when The Sun explored which supermarket is the best for DIY Christmas hampers.

Meanwhile, other shoppers are racing to Aldi, not for food-related items but for the perfect last-minute stocking filler.

The chain’s iconic middle aisle has offered shoppers a new range of offerings that are perfect for finishing off your Christmas shopping on a budget.

Many are under £5 and £10 meaning that you could also be in luck if you are behind on a Secret Santa gift.

How to save money on Christmas shopping

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save money on your Christmas shopping.

Limit the amount of presents – buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb.

Instead, why not organise a Secret Santa between your inner circles so you’re not having to buy multiple presents.

Plan ahead – if you’ve got the stamina and budget, it’s worth buying your Christmas presents for the following year in the January sales.

Make sure you shop around for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you’re not forking out more than you should though.

Buy in Boxing Day sales – some retailers start their main Christmas sales early so you can actually snap up a bargain before December 25.

Delivery may cost you a bit more, but it can be worth it if the savings are decent.

Shop via outlet stores – you can save loads of money shopping via outlet stores like Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.

They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually any wear and tear is minor.
