Injury scare for India: Rohit Sharma gets hit on Knee, Medic comes to help

Indian captain Rohit Sharma got hit on his knee when he was batting in the nets on December 22 at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). he got hit by throwdown specialist Daya’s Delivery on his left leg. Rohit left the nets right after he got hit, took off his gear, and received medical attention.

The physio was seen helping him ice the infected area. The good news is that the injury is not a major one. Rohit was not in discomfort as he was sitting at the side. he got surrounded by his teammates who were getting ready for their turn to bat in nets.

Rohit has not been in his peak form on Australian conditions. He has made scored of 3,6, and 10 in Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 so far. In the warm-up game for the pink-ball Test, he also got dismissed on a single-digit number.

Rohit has only scored a single half-century in this season since the series against Bangladesh, which came in Bengaluru against New Zealand.

After Gabba Test ended in a draw, the series is currently levelled 1-1. The fourth Test is set to begin December 26 at the MCG. The last time Rohit played a Test at the MCG, he registered scored of 63* and 5.
