Holiday travel rush underway despite snowy weather in NY and NJ

NEWARK, New Jersey (PIX11) -- Residents in New York and New Jersey woke up to the first measurable snow in the area on Saturday morning, with some parts reaching up to a half foot of accumulation.

However, the weather did not stop people from across the tri-state from hitting the roads and heading to the airports this weekend.

A record amount of people are expected to fly this year according to AAA. PIX11's Cory McGinnis is live at Newark Airport on the holiday travel rush.
