Kelly Clarkson Seemingly Shades Ex-Husband Brandon Blackstock, Alludes to Current Relationship Status
It looks like Kelly Clarkson is getting a little shady while celebrating the holidays this year.
On Thursday (December 19), the 42-year-old American Idol winner appeared to diss ex-husband Brandon Blackstock in a visualizer for her festive album When Christmas Comes Around… Again.
It also could have hinted at her current relationship status in a not-so-subtle way.

The visualizer is a fireplace scene with four stockings hanging from a mantle adorned with garland and Christmas lights. The first stocking reads “MOM,” a reference to Kelly.
Her children River and Remy‘s names appear on the following two stockings. However, the last one simply reads “NOPE.”
Some fans in the comments section perceived this as a diss against her ex and referred to it as evidence that she was “healing.” However, it’s also possible that this is Kelly‘s way of saying that she isn’t dating anyone else at the moment so there’s no need for a fourth stocking.
When Christmas Comes Around… Again does feature an original song called “Christmas Isn’t Cancelled (Just You),” which seemingly alludes to Kelly moving on from her marriage.
Kelly filed to divorce Brandon after nearly seven years of marriage in June 2020. They finalized their separation in 2022.
The former couple’s legal standoff continued after Kelly accused Brandon and his father’s firm, who managed her career, of violating state labor laws. In May 2024, the exes settled lawsuits over the issue.
Last year, she appeared to throw some shade at Brandon while covering a hit song.
