QPR1st Supporters Trust Christmas Update
Dear QPR1st Member / Supporter
Well another topsy-turvy year draws to its conclusion for the Superhoops. Martí Cifuentes’ men ended the 23/24 season strongly and hopes were very bright for 24/25. But after a poor start to the new season QPR found themselves flat bottom of the table as winter approached. However at the time of writing Rangers have gone six unbeaten and maybe fans can raise a cup of Christmas cheer again.
Meanwhile in 2024 we sadly said farewell to a number of people dear to the club and the fans. We lost the mercurial maverick Stan Bowles in February after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, whilst in May QPR stalwart Frank Sibley passed away. Other ex-Rs we mourn include John McClelland, Leighton James and Denis George Gristwood. We also remember all the QPR supporters we lost this year from far and wide.
We at QPR1st are gearing up for a busy 2025. Expect to hear from us more next year as we look towards:
- An AGM early next year
- Working with the club to finalise details of the new Fan Advisory Board (mandated by the EFL)
- Continuing dialogue with the club in a number of areas including fan experience and club governance
The board of QPR1st would like to wish all QPR fans everywhere a merry Christmas, a happy Hannukah and a prosperous New Year! Happy holidays to one and all!
