BCCI achieves record financial HIGH, amass nearly Rs 210000000000 in 2024

New Delhi: The financial standing of the BCCI has seen a promising rise this year, with a noteworthy gain of about Rs 4,200 crore. This boosts their total earnings to an astounding figure of Rs 20,686 crore.

A considerable part of the earnings of BCCI hinges on the media rights from IPL and the privileges for bilateral cricket games.

As the world’s predominant center for cricket, India’s influential cricketing board is blessed with a substantial share of income generated by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

In the month of June in 2022, an incredible deal was sealed for the telecast rights of IPL, which was purchased at an amazing amount of Rs 48,390 crore. The deal spans over a time period of five years.

“The cash and bank balance of BCCI has increased from Rs 16,493 crores in FY2023 to INR 20,686 crores in FY 2024. This is an increase of approximately INR 4,200 crore,” read a BCCI document in possession of PTI.

For the fiscal year 2023-2024, the board had initially projected a revenue of Rs 7,476 crore. However, they were pleasantly surprised as the actual income soared to Rs 8,995 crore. Likewise, the general fund saw a remarkable growth, jumping from Rs 6,365 crore to a substantial Rs 7,988 crore.

The Cricket Control Board in India, BCCI, is estimated to score majorly in the fiscal year 2024-2025 – a whopping revenue of 10,054 crore. On the other hand, they also set aside an estimated 2,348 crore for their total planned outgoings in the same year.

The BCCI’s 38 state divisions heavily rely on the board’s yearly funding. The budget earmarked for these associations, as stated in the document, is capped at an impressive Rs 499 crore.
