Grab your girlfriends and your margaritas! We’re finally returning to Serenity for Sweet Magnolias Season 4. The Netflix drama will premiere on Thursday, February 6.
For a special treat, Season 4 will feature the holidays in Serenity from Halloween to Christmas.
While we would have loved to watch that in real time this fall, we’re still excited to see the Magnolias and their families celebrate the season for the first time on the show.
The official synopsis is included below:
“Sweet Magnolias season 4 takes us from Halloween to Christmas, with surprising laughter, unexpected heartbreak and renewed resolve along the way.
While negotiating the twists and turns of their romantic lives, Maddie, Dana Sue, and Helen must also navigate the return of old foes, the loss of great loves, and the pain of transition from past dreams to present ones.”
“As the men in their lives pursue their own dreams and the teenagers take uneasy steps toward adulthood, the Magnolias support each other with creative problem-solving, deep-hearted commitment, and — as always — weekly margaritas.”
That synopsis has us intrigued but worried. We don’t want any of the main characters to lose their great loves, but we like the idea of realizing new dreams.
Sweet Magnolias Season 3 was the first season that didn’t end on a major cliffhanger. The biggest drama was that Issac still hadn’t told Noreen or Maddie’s kids that Bill was his biological father, which could play out this season.

It left a few doors open, including the hopeful chance of Helen and Erik reuniting.
The last part of that synopsis hints that Ty and Annie may get their romantic arc as they become young adults. What could be more romantic than kissing on New Year’s Eve? We’d love to see that.
Sweet Magnolias Season 4 sounds exciting because it will focus on the women, as well as the men and teens and their dreams.
While we love seeing the women pour it out, one of the best parts of Sweet Magnolias Season 3 was watching the men’s friendships evolve.
