Assam STF busts terror module, arrests eight

Eight suspected terrorists have been arrested in a multi-state operation by Assam Police, along with Kerala and West Bengal Police. The group, linked to a global jihadi organization and al-Qaeda, allegedly plotted to assassinate Hindu leaders, particularly RSS members, to incite religious unrest. A Bangladeshi national was reportedly sent to India to establish sleeper cells and spread extremist ideology.
