Sheriff: 4 arrested after biggest fentanyl seizure in Livingston Parish
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- Deputies arrested four suspects after a drug investigation led to the largest fentanyl seizure in Livingston Parish.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office said 100,000 lethal doses of fentanyl were seized after the drug trafficking organization investigation in October. Sheriff Jason Ard said agents seized 36,000 dosage units of pressed fentanyl pills.
Arrests were made after two homes in the parish were searched. Fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, Adderall, crack cocaine, marijuana, three guns and five cars were seized.
The suspects arrested were identified as Tyrone "PawPaw" Broadway, Eugene "Jake" Skinner, Donald "Bo" McCray and Devonte Skinner.
"These investigations do take a lot of time and effort," Ard said. "We are committed to seeing each & every one through. Look, these results speak for themselves. I’m proud of our beefed up Narcotics Division. We will continue to focus our efforts on targeting and disrupting these drug trafficking organizations. If you sell drugs in Livingston Parish, may want to think about moving. We’re coming after you next."
