Hillsboro man sentenced to 35 years for sexually abusing minors
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A Hillsboro man was sentenced to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty to sex abuse charges.
According to the Washington County District Attorney's Office, on Dec. 16, Brian James Henning, 34, pled guilty to four charges related to the sexual abuse of three minors.
Officials said that Henning began abusing two minors he was babysitting in August 2023 and when their mother learned about it she confronted Henning and he admitted to doing it.
Henning was immediately reported to law enforcement and an investigation began into his actions.
Through interviews with the two children, medical experts said they learned that Henning had recorded one of the victims during the abuse.
During the investigation, Hillsboro police said that Henning once again admitted to the abuse and after securing a search warrant, investigators said they found further evidence confirming the abuse as well as evidence of the sexual abuse of a third child on Henning's phone.
Henning was found guilty of charges including first-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse.
