Manufactured by HOF, a German automobile tuning company, this special SUV is dubbed the “1955”.

That is the same year the late British driver won the legendary Mille Miglia with the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR.

Images show the G-Wagon finished in Tribute Paint reflecting the silver colours of the winning 300 SLR.

It has the number 722 painted across its body in red, reminiscent of the latter’s race livery.

The interior also nods to the 300 SLR with a wood-inlaid steering wheel and blue tartan upholstery.

Sir Stirling Craufurd Moss competed in Formula One from 1951 to 1961 winning 16 races and an overall record 202 official races across several motorsport disciplines.

Only 10 examples of this SUV have been built and will be available on the market for an estimated cost of £540K.

The listing reads: The bulk of the SUV’s boxy body is done up primarily in silver and the number ‘722’.

“This is the same worn by Moss’s car, is stamped in red on the sides and hood.”

Rounding the exterior out is a striking set of 24-inch carbon-fibre wheels, that can be topped with optional air disks.

Meanwhile, the interior looks just like the standard AMG G63, but has a wood-inlaid steering wheel.

It comes covered in blue tartan upholstery, just like the Mille Miglia winner.

The car is fitted with the AMG G63’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V-8 engine.

The engine has been tuned so that it now produces 712 hp and 700 ft-lbs of torque.

The SUV can reach a top speed of 149 mph, which is likely much faster than anyone needs their G-Wagen to be.

Ultra rare Lewis Hamilton-inspired Mercedes hits the market for eye-watering £540K – & it boasts unique steering wheel

ONE of eleven Lewis Hamilton-inspired Mercedes G-Wagons with a rectangular steering wheel could be yours for £541K.

The “Sir Class” has just been unveiled by HOF, a brand known for making tuned versions of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Images show the car with a silver-to-black finish, inspired by the team’s racing colours, with Petronas Tiffany Green accents on the 23-inch wheels, wing mirrors, and throughout the interior.

The outline of the Yas Marina circuit, where the Abu Dhabi GP is held, is embroidered into the car’s headliner.

Other features pictured include the rectangular F1-style steering wheel and racing bucket seats.

The car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 producing 1,063 horsepower and 959 ft-lbs of torque.

The engine is equipped with new aluminium pistons, stronger connecting rods, new turbos, and a high-flow fuel system, while the ECU has also been remapped.

This SUV can sprint from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 186 mph, making it the fastest G-Wagon in history.

As a fan favourite, the G-Class is favoured by A-listers around the globe with Megan Fox, Britney Spears, and Kendall Jenner all sporting the chunky SUV.

It’s also been featured in various hit songs including Post Malone’s Wow.
