School districts seek to merge football programs again
(NEWS10) -- The Lake George, Bolton and Warrensburg school districts are once again seeking approval to merge their football programs next year. The New York State High School Athletic Association requires all merged programs to receive approval every year.
District leaders said they are working to create new policies for the program to ensure it aligns with each district's values.
This year's season was canceled in November in response to allegations of misconduct on a team bus that was returning from an event in Syracuse in August. Two students were charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child.
The Warren County Sheriff's Office said it finished its investigation, and no additional charges will be filed.
