Midwest City victim identified as authorities investigate three Oklahoma homicides
MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (KFOR) - Police have identified a Midwest City homicide victim as authorities investigate three homicides in Oklahoma.
According to the Midwest City Police Department, officers responded to a home near Locust lane early Wednesday morning as a request from the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, they found 62-year-old Annie Brown dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Officials say 42-year-old Richard Chambers had been living in the backyard of Brown’s residence and took her car. The vehicle was found several hours later at the scene of a homicide in Pontotoc County.
According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Chambers was taken into custody Wednesday morning near Ada regarding the homicides.
