There’s no better time than the start of a new year to assess, or reassess, your personal style. Do you want to enter 2025 with a slightly more elevated appearance? Are you hoping to add a touch more personality to your look? Or maybe you’ve been looking for just the right thing to complete your office attire? If you found yourself nodding “yes” to any of those questions, then you’re reading the right article.

Earlier this year, American watch brand Bulova released a brand-new timepiece, and it’s perfect for anyone whose New Year’s resolution revolves around updating their fashion choices. Meet the Super Seville, a timeless accessory that marries contemporary elegance with vintage flair.

While this iteration of the Super Seville is technically new to Bulova, its design was directly inspired by a piece of the brand’s history: the 1970s Super Seville Day-Date. The modern interpretation nods to the past in a few ways—most notably, through the 37.5MM retro TV-shaped case. Made of silver-tone stainless steel, the case is attached to the three-link stainless steel bracelet with a push-button deployant clasp.

The interesting design details, however, don’t end with the case. A tasteful grooved coin edge bezel encircles both the anti-reflective, shatter-resistant sapphire crystal and the dial. The latter is another design choice that harkens back to the era of disco music and bell-bottom pants. In the 1970s, bright, bold colors were all the rage in the world of watches; the Super Seville’s vertical brushed green dial would have fit in with ease. Don’t worry about the hue being too intense, though; it may stand out among a sea of watches in muted tones, but it’s also a shade that works with a variety of other colors. Other things to note about the dial: It has subtle silver accents and illuminated hands and markers (crucial for reading the time in a darker space), plus the date is conveniently located directly at 3 o’clock.

Let’s say you’re not the biggest fan of the green… Well, you’re in luck. The Super Seville comes in two additional colorways: a blue dial with a silver-tone case and a silver-tone dial with a gold-tone case. One shopper noted the blue works as a “dress watch or an everyday wear,” while another shared that the silver-tone version has a “classy and elegant aura.”

If you take an even closer look at the watch, you’ll discover that its beauty extends far beneath the surface. Each of the Super Seville styles is powered by Bulova’s proprietary high precision quartz (HPQ) Precisionist movement. This means that an eight-jewel quartz mechanism vibrates at 262kHz, making the watch’s time-keeping capabilities accurate to seconds per year — even when the temperature changes.

Stylish, versatile, and incredibly efficient? There’s no better way to enter 2025. Shop the Super Seville, in all of its variations, at Bulova
