There was one trade yesterday that stole the spotlight away from the other trade yesterday.
The Cubs sent their Cody (Bellinger) to the Yankees for their Cody (Poteet). Chicago re-signed Bellinger in February, and then he chose not to opt out of that deal this winter. But the Yankees can afford it!
The Cubs also traded Matt Thaiss to the White Sox for cash. They just traded for Thaiss a couple weeks ago, when they got him from the Angels.
