The parade will end at the Manila Central Post Office, where fans can enjoy a free concert and performances from the stars of this year’s lineup of entries.

Last year’s parade was held in Camanava, where the parade ran for 8.7 kilometers and certain roads were closed to make way for the float parade. MMDA personnel were also deployed to ensure crowd control and safety.

This year’s MMFF is expected to be an even grander celebration as it marks the 50th anniversary of the film festival. In celebration, the MMFF previously held the “Sine Sigla sa Singkwenta” campaign, which showcased 50 classic MMFF films in theaters nationwide for only P50 per screening last September 25 to October 15. – Rowz Fajardo/Rappler.com
