77% senior faculty posts vacant in Karnataka varsities

Karnataka's 32 traditional universities face a severe shortage of professors, with 77% of positions vacant for over a decade. New universities haven't recruited a single professor. While guest faculty fill the gap, the shortage impacts postgraduate and doctoral studies. Mysore University has only three professors against 68 sanctioned posts.
