2 Portland-area steakhouses among best in US, according to Yelp

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Craving a fat juicy steak? There are two places in the Portland area that you’re going to want to visit, according to Yelp.

The restaurant review website listed its 25 top steakhouses of 2024, including two restaurants in Hillsboro and Northeast Portland.

“From all-you-can-eat Brazilian BBQ to special-occasion dining rooms serving buttery filet mignon, our list of America’s best steakhouses is your guide for holiday dinners, celebrations, and just a good time,” Yelp’s list explained.

The top-ranked steakhouse in the Portland area is Hillsboro’s Pho Kita Steak & Ribs, sitting at no. 7 on Yelp’s list spanning the entire United States. The site noted that the Vietnamese restaurant’s success comes from its “secret house recipe” for all of their steaks.

According to the owners, Chinh Hoang and Helen Phan, the couple spent two decades perfecting their marinade — earning them accolades from Yelp reviews such as “Oh man! Talk about tender” and “The tastiest Vietnamese steak I have ever had.”

The second Portland restaurant named on the list is Ox on NE Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard. The Argentinian-inspired steakhouse has maintained a strong reputation for years, earning it the rank of no. 22 on Yelp’s list.

“For meat lovers nationwide, there’s no better entree than a great steak.
