Jason Kelce Offers Self-Deprecating Reaction to 'Lookalike' Contest

Philadelphia held a Jason Kelce lookalike contest over the weekend to find the local resident who most resembles one of the city's most beloved celebrities. And during ESPN's Monday Night Football, Kelce shared some words about what must have been a pretty surreal affair for him.

Running through footage of the event, which was held in Philly's Rittenhouse Square on Saturday, Kelce's fellow commentator Scott Van Pelt exclaimed, "There's like five dudes—there guy right there with the sweater, I thought was you!"

"Newsflash! Any overweight white guy with a beard looks just like me, what are you talking about?" quipped the retired Eagles center. "It’s an easy competition! There is absolutely nothing unique about any of these gentlemen other than they are large people with beards and of caucasian complexion."

However, when the camera panned to one particularly good doppelgänger, Kecle conceded: "That guy looks spot-on. That's my new profile picture." (And in fact, he did change his avatar on X, formerly Twitter.)

When asked why the contestants kept removing their shirts, the 37-year-old said with a sigh, "You guys know exactly why they do that."

"Sometimes, when you're enjoying a few beverages and it's cold outside," he added, trailing off, referring to his now-infamous shirtless appearance during the AFC divisional playoff game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills back in January.

"Do you know how disheartening it is that there is nothing unique about you at all, thousands of people look like you?" Kecle asked, cutting back to the studio, noting that he's also gotten comparisons to Zach Galifianakis, despite the fact that he's well-under six-foot.

For what it's worth, NBC Philadelphia reports that the winner was Paul Crossley from the city's Fishtown neighborhood.

"Very tough competition. You know, a lot of guys looked exactly like me, to be honest out here," Crossley told the outlet. "It was kind of freaky. But, everyone came up and had a good time and here we are. We all pulled together, all of us Jasons and they were great. They were great competitors."
