How to Get 8 Days of Free Shake Shack Burgers for the Holidays

Shake Shack is giving fans eight days of holiday freebies, which began on Dec. 16. and runs until Dec. 24.

Users of the Shake Shack app can enjoy a free sandwich every day from now until Christmas Eve by using the code “BURGERBLITZ” at check out with a minimum purchase of $10. The code also works for in-store purchases, though not for orders placed through Shake Shack’s website.

Today, Dec. 17, you can grab a free SmokeShack burger with a purchase of $10 or more. The SmokeShack is a classic cheeseburger served on a lightly toasted potato bun and topped with applewood smoked bacon, chopped cherry peppers, and the chain’s beloved ShackSauce.

December 18 brings free Avocado Bacon Burgers, which also comes topped with ShackSauce and applewood smoked bacon in addition to thick slices of fresh avocado. For traditionalists, Thursday is your day: you can grab a free regular cheeseburger with the required minimum purchase.

Friday brings a more experimental but no less delicious giveaway. On Dec. 20, you can try the chain’s Black Truffle Burger, which launched back in 2021 with the chain’s truffle menu. The Black Truffle Burger is a Gruyere cheeseburger with real black truffle sauce which is made with Regalis organic black truffle olive oil, topped with crispy shallots.

On Saturday, Dec. 21, fans can treat themselves to another more traditional (read: truffle-less) option with a free Bacon Cheeseburger, one of Shake Shack’s original staples. Sunday and Monday’s giveaways are both repeats—Shake Shack only has so many burgers, after all. Those who make an eligible purchase receive a free Avocado Bacon Burger on Sunday and a SmokeShack on Monday.

On Christmas Eve, Shake Shack is doling out a fan-favorite sandwich for their final freebie. On Dec. 24, you can grab a free ShackBurger with any purchase of $10 or more. The Shack Burger is a straightforward cheeseburger made with an all-beef patty and topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce, served on a buttered potato bun.
