Electric Vehicles (EVs) are the future of the auto industry with global sales increasing 30% since 2023, reaching a total of 17 million.

More manufacturers are racing to get their models on this expanding market, including some making their debut. From Cadillac to Hyundai, these comprise some of the world’s biggest names and their EV models are capturing the imagination of motoring enthusiasts.

With that in mind, let’s take a road trip through five of the most exciting EV models set to hit the market over the new two years!

1. Cadillac Celestiq

Cadillac’s appeal is so universal that it appears in pretty much every media form you can imagine, from classic movies and television shows to car-related online casino games.

The Celestiq does not compromise on the brand’s past opulence. Weighing in at $300,000, its focus is on being aspirational rather than affordable. Perhaps its stand-out feature is its Smart Glass Roof with independent dimming zones: this allows you to customize your light exposure.

Inside, a lavish interior awaits, adorned with sustainable materials and advanced technologies. This includes a personalized infotainment system with four individual screens and an advanced driver-assistance system.

Many auto experts have hailed it as the start of a new generation in ultra-luxury EV design, being hand-crafted but also kitted out with the latest technology.

 2. Chevrolet Corvette

The Chevrolet Corvette EV aims to electrify the popular SUV market with a cinematic experience, and one that has the potential to reach new high speeds.

Built on GM’s Ultium platform, this electric SUV promises impressive range and performance based on recent history. GM have managed to get the huge Hummer EV to hit 60mph in under four seconds, so we may see something similar with this model.

Expect a spacious and tech-savvy interior, with the latest in infotainment and driver-assistance features, but with a focus on practicality, too, so that any driver will feel instantly at home inside – and its price range promises to be much more affordable than the Cadillac above.

The Corvette EV is poised to become a key player in the electric SUV market and could become one of the most popular models of the year.

3. Ford Compact Crossover

The Compact Crossover marks a big step forward for Ford in the electric vehicle market.

The Crossover will offer a glimpse into Ford’s future EV design language and technology. Expect a blend of Ford’s renowned reliability and driving dynamics with the most advanced EV technology.

More specifically, it is expected to feature a highly efficient battery system offering a range competitive with other affordable EVs, and advanced driver-assistance technologies. A modernized interior, too, with an emphasis on connectivity and user-friendly controls, is in line.

The Compact Crossover represents Ford’ s biggest hope in grabbing their slice of the EV market pie.

4.  Hyundai Ioniq 9

Hyundai is set to redefine the three-row electric SUV market with the launch of the Ioniq 9 in 2025.

Priced from around £65,000, this sleek seven-seat SUV offers a sophisticated alternative to many of its rivals. The Ioniq 9 pairs innovative engineering with bold design elements, such as Parametric Pixel LED lighting and an “aerosthetic” profile, which enhances its smooth bodywork and gives it a compact, streamlined appearance.

Inside, the Ioniq 9 has seven full-size seats or an optional six-seat configuration featuring rotating middle-row captain’s chairs for a more social layout.

It boasts over 300 miles of range from a 110.3-kWh battery, a four-minute DC fast charging and a spacious, airy interior.

With all these in tow, Ioniq 9 emerges as a frontrunner in the electric SUV segment.

5. Kia EV4

Kia is expanding its electric lineup with the anticipated EV4 sedan, slated for a 2026 debut.

Building on the bold design cues of the EV3 crossover, the EV4 brings a fresh take to the sedan segment with its distinctive blocky styling and a sloped roofline. This design gives the EV4 a dynamic yet modern look, setting it apart from traditional electric sedans.

Inside, the EV4 promises a minimalist, airy cabin, where most controls are seamlessly integrated into the dashboard for a sleek, futuristic look.

The model gets inspiration from Kia’s crossover concepts and the interior is expected to focus on comfort and cutting-edge technology. Reviews say the driving experience that’s both intuitive and connected.

Detailed specifications remain under wraps, but the EV4 is likely to target a competitive range and price point which should make it one of the company’s most popular models.
