Jon Jones has chosen his moment to clap back at Colby Covington.

Ahead of UFC Tampa this past Saturday, Covington blasted Jones during his media day scrum, calling the UFC heavyweight champion a number of names, including a “f*cking disgrace to this Earth.” Covington headlined the card against Joaquin Buckley and suffered a third-round doctor stoppage TKO loss.

On Monday night, Jones decided to deliver his virtual punches and kicks to the downed Covington with a number of responses on Twitter.

“Big shoutout to Colby Covington for skipping training to get President Trump ‘ready,’ we all appreciate the sacrifice,” Jones wrote. “At least he got to see me win.”

Following the loss, Covington claimed he didn’t have a training camp for the fight and came into it “off the couch.” Additionally, the former interim welterweight champion believed his fight with Buckley was tied at one round apiece heading into the third, and that the tide was beginning to turn—although all three judges scored the first two rounds for Buckley.

With Covington having now lost two straight and three of four, Jones continued to troll Covington on Twitter, even reacting to fans on the social media application.

“That’s what I find the most hilarious, listening to what he’s going to come up with next after getting his ass whooped,” Jones said in response to a fan saying Covington makes excuses.

After a fan told Jones he shouldn’t even give Covington and his words any acknowledgement, especially considering he’s a world champion, “Bones” says he just can’t help himself.

“I know I shouldn’t, but it’s just so much fun,” Jones said. “It’s amusing watching someone you know [hates] you fail repeatedly.”
