Sylvester Stallone's Neighbors Reportedly Upset With New Security Plan

Sylvester Stallone's mansion in Palm Beach looks to be getting a makeover on the outside, much to the chagrin of his neighbors. 

According to the Palm Beach Daily News, Stallone has submitted applications to the government to build a large barrier in the Intracoastal Waterway next to his home. While the barrier is being proposed with concerns about seaweed and debris, a notice from the U.S. Army Corps of engineer said "the overall project purpose is to exclude boaters" from approaching the property, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Neighbors reportedly had no idea the plan was in the works and only learned it was happening after receiving a notice recently from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection informing them of a public comment period on the proposal ending Dec. 25. Records show the project has a lengthy history and didn't come out of nowhere; in 2022, Florida Department of Environmental Protection workers completed a site survey, and representatives for the Rocky star submitted the application to the state on Jan. 23, 2023. 

"He bought a beautiful property," neighbor Bradford Gary told the Palm Beach Post, claiming it's "one of the nicest" houses in the area. "I can see why you'd want to protect it," he acknowledged. "But you can't just kind of stake your claim and think you own the water."

"Usually when your neighbors are gonna do something, we've found in Palm Beach, usually they call," Gary added. "A lot of neighbors are concerned."

Stallone's latest movie Alarum is in theaters Jan. 17, 2025.
