Kristen Bell is your 2025 SAG Awards host: ‘Everybody wants this’

Kristen Bell will host the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards, the group announced Monday. This will be the “Nobody Wants This” star’s second time hosting.

“Thrilled to be hosting the SAG Awards again this year,” Bell said in a statement. “I’m honored to be asked back and can’t wait to share the evening with my fellow actors, doing what we do best… celebrating ourselves  .”

“Kristen Bell’s wit, warmth and charm makes her the perfect fit for our show — a night celebrating actors and the outstanding performances of the year,“ SAG Awards executive producer Jon Brockett added. ”Plus — everybody wants this.”

Bell became the first SAG Awards host in its then-24-year history in 2018. Since then, the SAG Awards have only officially had one other host, Megan Mullally, in 2019. Last season, Idris Elba opened the show and carried on host-adjacent duties throughout, but he was never named as host.

Bell could find herself as host and a nominee at the ceremony. She’s currently predicted to make the Best TV Comedy Actress cut for “Nobody Wants This,” which, believe it or not, would be her first SAG Award nomination. The actress has already earned Critics Choice Award and Golden Globe nominations for the Netflix rom-com.

SAG Awards nominations will be announced on Jan. 8. As previously announced, Jane Fonda will receive the SAG Life Achievement Award.

Silent House Productions will return to produce the 31st annual ceremony. Brockett will serve as executive producer alongside Silent House Productions’ Emmy winners Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco, and Linda Gierahn. 

The 31st Annual SAG Awards will stream live on Netflix on Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
