Trinny Woodall’s £5.99 facial gadget she swears by to look age-defying at 60 & the free self-massage technique she loves

BRITISH beauty and fashion icon Trinny Woodall has given away her top tricks and tips for keeping her skin looking youthful and vibrant.

And shockingly, she’s thanked a £5.99 facial gadget for her staggeringly supple skin.

Trinny said 2024 was about ‘bringing her best self to every situation’.
The British beauty and fashion legend revealed the £5.99 product she uses to keep her skin vibrant.

The entrepreneur, businesswoman, and founder and CEO of Trinny London says she ‘hates’ the term anti-ageing.

She insists that the self-care she carries out is to ‘generate a feeling of vitality’ and says that ‘after all, the goal is to feel great about yourself’.

Writing for the Daily Mail, Trinny revealed she uses a super cheap facial gadget four times a week to de-puff her skin: “If my face feels puffy, I’ll do cupping with a silicone facial cupping set (£5.99, amazon.co.uk).

“It’s the cheapest gadget out there that will make a difference in just a couple of minutes.

“It sticks to the face using suction and you glide it over your serum to drain away any excess fluid.”

Facial cupping has become extremely popular amongst those looking to maintain a lifted and tight face and décolletage.

The cups create suction to pull fluid into the skin, stimulating blood flow and promoting a smooth and elastic look.

Silicon facial cupping sets can be incorporated into your skincare routing to boost your skin’s elasticity.

But that’s not all Trinny does to retain her vitality.

Another way Trinny keeps herself looking vibrant and energised is practising lymphatic drainage at home: “I will also always do a ten-minute lymphatic drainage body-tapping routine.

“I go up my arms and legs, pull down my ears, then move around my collar bones, armpits, stomach, inner thigh and behind my knees.

“Then I’ll jump up and down doing ‘bunny hops’ for one minute.

“When you stop, you feel this rush through your body because you are making your lymphatic system active and draining away toxins.”

The beauty guru makes sure to do this at least five times a week.

You can learn to give yourself a lymphatic massage for free to reduce puffiness in your body.

What is lymphatic drainage?

Lymphatic drainage is a massage technique that involves applying gentle pressure to specific areas of your body to move excess fluid away from tissues and towards working lymph vessels and lymph nodes.

This movement gets rid of toxins in your body and reduces swelling – making you look less puffy.

Trinny also thanks a sugar-free, high protein diet and active lifestyle for her healthy look.

She doesn’t see turning 60 as an excuse to stagnate: “Twice a year I take stock of where I am in life.

“In January it’s a spiritual kind of reflection: how, rather than where, do I want to be? This year, it was about ‘bringing my best self to every situation’.

Trinny’s skin looks vibrant and healthy.

“I set it as an intention and wrote it on my mirror, on my computer and in my notes page on my phone.

“Then in September I set my goals – even though I’m 60, I still feel it’s the beginning of a new school year!”

3 tips to age backwards

You can't really get younger but you can try your best to look younger.

Use sun protection

The most common cause of an ageing face is sun exposure and sun damage.

Using SPF daily is the most effective way to keep the skin looking young and care for ageing skin.

Ditch dramatic makeup

Opt for brown eyeliners and mascaras instead of black, swap matte bronzers, blushers and face powders for creamy products, and make your face glow with shimmery bronzes, pinks and gold eyeshadows.

Dress for your body shape

Many women tend to hide behind baggy, shapeless clothes as they get older.

But the secret to looking young and trendy, is to embrace the body shape you have.

Midi skirts are all the rage at the moment, offering suitable coverage for anyone who doesn’t want to show too much leg or knee. And pleated midi skirts are great if you’re looking for a versatile day to night piece.

Blazers never go out of fashion, and can instantly elevate any outfit. Just make sure the blazer length hits you at the right point.

Jeans have had a revival and there are so many different styles on the high street for you to try. If in doubt, opt for a mid-blue colour and a trusty black.
