But Katie, 46, won’t have to pinch the pennies this Christmas as The Sun has learned she’s landed a £50,000 payday for teaming up with pal Kerry Katona in a production of Cinderella at Northwich Memorial Court.

She and Kerry, 44, are playing the wicked step-sisters in the panto, but Katie’s fee is anything but evil.

An insider said: “Katie knows her worth and she won’t take a penny less.

“Despite everything she’s a shrewd negotiator and her name still has some pull when it comes to booking gigs.

“The panto organisers are thrilled with the response to Katie and Kerry being in the show so far and in their eyes it’s money well spent.”

Shortly after it was announced the duo would be involved and tickets for the production went on sale in September it was revealed Cinderella had broken box office records.

A statement on the official Instagram for the theatre read: “Since our casting news broke earlier this evening, we have sold the highest number of tickets that we’ve ever sold in a single day during our last 14 years in Northwich!

“Book your tickets soon before the best seats go!

Mum-of-five Katie was declared bankrupt in 2019, after it was revealed that she owed £3.2 million to creditors, as well as HMRC, her mortgage company and various small businesses.

Katie was also served an eviction notice from her Mucky Mansion following her second bankruptcy.

It comes after Kerry was sent home from a panto rehearsal after slurring her words as she struggled with medication after a car accident.

She told fans in a video posted on social media that she had been sent home for slurring her words due to taking strong painkillers.

She said: “Yesterday I got sent home from panto. I can barely remember coming home.

“I can’t say white rabbits anyway; for those of you who are not aware, I crashed my car. I also cracked my ribs and got put on some heavy medication.

“I do not like taking things that make me feel like I’m not in control but I’ve been put on strong medication.”

Katie Price's missing millions

At the peak of her career Katie had an estimated fortune of £45m, thanks to her lucrative modelling career, book deals, and TV appearances.

The cash-strapped mum-of-five was first declared bankrupt in 2019 over unpaid debts of £3.2 million.

In a podcast interview earlier this year, she blamed her exes who include Peter AndreAlex Reid and Kieran Hayler and lawyers for her money woes.

She insisted that funding her exes’ lavish lifestyles with cars, watches, luxury holidays and homes left her finances in tatters.

She added: “I went through a breakdown, this is how mine started – lawyers and exes, that is my bankruptcy thing.

“And obviously a bit of HMRC.

“When I had my breakdown, if anyone has been depressed… I don’t know if you’ve ever had depression.

“It starts with depression and you just want to sleep all day and not talk to anyone, the phone would ring and you wouldn’t answer it.’

In March, Katie was declared bankrupt for a second time over an unpaid tax bill of £761,994.05.

The demand for payment was made by HMRC last October.

Katie was due to give evidence about her finances at the High Court but failed to turn up – holidaying in Cyprus with her new man JJ Slater instead.

Her Mucky Mansion was a bomb site for years after it was burgled, flooded and swamped by an overflowing septic tank.

She finally moved out at the end of May and is renting a four-bed mansion in Sussex.
