ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Happy Monday! Meteorologist Matt Mackie says we'll have snow until around 10 a.m., temperatures peaking at 42 degrees, and rain this evening.

A man was arrested in connection with the shooting of the St. Johnsbury police Captain on Sunday. Also, the Whitehall boil water advisory was lifted on Sunday. These stories, and more, are in your five things to know this Monday.

1. St. Johnsbury officer shot; Police arrest suspect

Vermont State Police arrested Scott Mason, 38, in connection to the shooting of St. Johnsbury police Captain Jason Gray around 2 a.m. Sunday. Troopers said he was arrested in the home next to where the shooting happened on Portland Street.

2. Whitehall water safe to drink again, conservation efforts continue

Whitehall officials released an update regarding the state of emergency in the village on Sunday. The state of emergency is still in effect, however the boil water advisory has been lifted.

3. Deputies investigate drone sightings in Capital Region

Drone sightings have been reported to both the Saratoga County Sheriff’s (SCSO) and Albany County Sheriff’s (ACSO) offices. SCSO and State Police said they do not believe these sightings are dangerous.

4. Rotterdam Police arrest man following shots fired at Walmart

A Schenectady man was arrested following a shoplifting and shots fired investigation by the Rotterdam Police Department on Saturday. Manief Mullins, 24, faces multiple charges.

5. Ballston Spa man accused of assaulting police officers

A Ballston Spa man is accused of attempting to flee police and assaulting two officers following trying to get inside a dwelling on Grove Street. The Ballston Spa Police Department said Tyrone Myette, 38, also had 206 grams of crystal methamphetamine and over 18 grams of cocaine.
