Severe delays on London Underground line after shortage of trains

Commuters on the London Underground face disruption caused by a shortage of trains.

The Piccadilly line is seeing severe delays due to a shortage of trains on the entire line, the latest TfL Tube travel status update shows.

Passengers can use their tickets on the Elizabeth line, London Buses, the Overground and Great Northern trains instead.

In west London, the stretch between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge remains suspended for a third week because of difficult track conditions.

Meanwhile, the M25 has reopened in Essex after overrunning roadworks blocked the motorway northbound between J27 and J28.
