Topeka Bible Church concludes annual light show

0

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Despite the weather the past two days, The Topeka Bible Church has seen one of its largest crowds to date for their annual Christmas lights show.

The church has put on the show for the last 17 years. It includes synchronized performers that go along with the lights and music.

Sunday night, was their last performance of the year but in just a few short weeks they will begin to prep next year's show.

"It takes thousands of hours," Teresa Jenkins with the Topeka Bible Church said. "We have volunteer programmers who coordinate the lights to the music. The song selections really have to be made in advance. And we got a crew of about 150 volunteers on campus this weekend who are greeting people showing them where to park, serving food, making food for volunteers, doing all of that."

If you missed their live performances, that's okay. They recorded their shows from this weekend and will be playing them outside the church with the lights starting December 20th. They will run every 30 minutes starting at 5 p.m.
