According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the A’s are acquiring LHP Jeffrey Springs from the Tampa Bay Rays. Over 33 innings last season, Springs recorded a 3.27 ERA. The full transaction also includes lefty Jacob Lopez going to the A’s.

The Rays are receiving right-handers Joe Boyle and Jacob Watters, along with outfielder Will Simpson and the A’s’ 2025 Competitive Balance Round A pick, in return.
