Fish factory causing environmental pollution shut down in Udupi

A fish factory in Padu village, Kaup taluk, Udupi, was sealed due to severe pollution and foul odor. The factory had been causing environmental problems for years despite residents' complaints. Authorities acted on a Pollution Control Board report, invoking the Water Act, to shut down the polluting factory and enforce environmental regulations.
