Team News: Motherwell (H)

There are a plethora of changes amongst the Hibs Women starting XI ahead of our final home fixture of 2024.

Grant Scott’s side host Motherwell at Meadowbank Stadium following a narrow defeat last weekend in the Scottish Cup.

The first of five changes takes place in goal, as Noa Schumacher replaces Erin Clachers. 

The American shot-stopper has kept two clean sheets in five appearances since joining the Club in the summer.

Rotation at the back allows versatile defender Shannon Leishman to make her second start of the 2024/25 campaign.

Leishy’s last start came against Rangers in late October. She comes in for Siobhan Hunter, who drops out of the starting line-up for the first time this season. 

Ciara Grant switches in for Club captain Rachael Boyle as a straight swap in the centre of midfield. 

The Irish international returns to the XI after starting from the bench versus Hearts last Sunday. 

After a lengthy rehab battle to work her way back to full fitness, there is a first start of the season for Rosie Livingstone - she replaces Abbie Ferguson in attack. 

The young forward has found the net twice in six substitute appearances since her return from injury. An acrobatic effort on her first game back against Montrose was soon followed up with a crucial, late winner versus city rivals Hearts at Tynecastle Park.

The fifth and final change sees a shift in shape as centre-forward Eilidh Adams replaces defender Stacey Papadopoulos.

Our number nine joins Kathleen McGovern up top, with the strikers joint-top scorers this season – netting 17 goals each in all competitions heading into the match. 

With Boyle and Poppy Lawson on the bench and Ellis Notley still ruled out, Kirsten Reilly dons the captain’s armband.
