Max George’s mum reveals she was the one to rush him to A&E amid health struggle and say they’re STILL ‘running tests’
MAX George’s mum, Barbara, has shared that she was the one to rush the Wanted star to A&E after he felt unwell earlier this week.
Speaking outside her Swinton home, Barbara revealed the family is “beside themselves” as Max undergoes tests to determine the severity of his heart issues.

He wrote an emotional post saying: “It’s gonna be a difficult few weeks/months… and Christmas in a hospital bed wasn’t exactly what I had planned.”
It was accompanied by a photo of him giving a thumbs up from his hospital bed.
Barbara explained that Max is in the best possible hands, telling MailOnline: “Max is in the hospital right now and he’s being very well taken care of.
“I took him to A&E this week where he was looked at. He is in the best place he can possibly be right now.
“He’s very grateful for all the well-wishes from his fans and he’s got all his friends and family around him too.
“They have done some tests to see what the best management will be going forward.”
Doctors discovered the heart issues during routine tests following his admission, leaving Max with an uncertain road ahead.
Max previously explained the situation to his followers, saying: “Yesterday I felt really unwell and was taken in to hospital.
“Unfortunately after some tests, they’ve found I have some issues with my heart.
“I have a lot more tests to determine the extent of the problems and what surgery I will need to get me back on my feet.”
Max’s health scare comes just two years after losing his best friend and bandmate Tom Parker to brain cancer.
The tragedy profoundly impacted Max, who credited Tom with changing his life for the better.
On Channel 4’s Scared of the Dark, Max spoke candidly about the loss, saying: “I don’t think I’ll ever be OK with it.”
This isn’t the first time Max has faced significant health challenges.
Earlier this year, he stepped back from a touring production due to “personal reasons” and shared a concerning photo of himself with a bruised eye.
Despite these struggles, Max has expressed that he is staying strong with the help of his family and his girlfriend, EastEnders star Maisie Smith.
