All Indians who wished to return home evacuated from Syria: MEA

India successfully evacuated all 77 of its nationals from Syria who sought to return after rebel forces overthrew President Assad's government. Embassy personnel escorted them to the border, where they were received by the Indian mission in Lebanon and facilitated their return to India. A group of 44 pilgrims also departed from Beirut to continue their regional religious journey.
