COOKING over Christmas can be a stressful enough challenge without adding homemade snacks into the mix.

However, one woman’s simple recipe is perfect when entertaining and only takes 20 minutes to prepare.

In her viral video, TikTok user Sam (@curvysam) showed her followers how she created a last minute dish for a festive party she was attending.

She described the nibbly bits as the “tastiest bite size snacks,” calling them ideal for Christmas parties.

Sam’s revealed that her recipe only take 20 minutes and requires just three ingredients.

The TikToker came up with the apps after being reminded of her neighbour’s party last minute.

Not wanting to go out to the shop, Sam concocted the tasty snacks using what she already had at home.

Her main ingredients were a frozen puff pastry, a jar of carmelised onions, and cheese.

She began by chopping her soft cheese into bite-sized chunks.

For her next step, she took a muffin trays and spritzed it with some oil.

She then cut the puff pastry in little squares and placed them in the tin, creating little cups.

“Then you pop the cheese in and then add generous amount of the onion jam or cranberry sauce,” Sam advised her audience.

She then placed the tray into her oven, which she set to 180 degrees, for nine minutes.

The TikToker warned her followers that the snacks are going to be “boiling hot and bubbling” when they first come out of the oven.

While she waited for them to cool down, she added an extra optional touch.

Sam cut some rosemary up, placing “two or three sprigs” on top of each app.

She remarked how good the “perfect bite sized little delicious morsels” smelled.

How to save money on Christmas shopping

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save money on your Christmas shopping.

Limit the amount of presents – buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb.

Instead, why not organise a Secret Santa between your inner circles so you’re not having to buy multiple presents.

Plan ahead – if you’ve got the stamina and budget, it’s worth buying your Christmas presents for the following year in the January sales.

Make sure you shop around for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you’re not forking out more than you should though.

Buy in Boxing Day sales – some retailers start their main Christmas sales early so you can actually snap up a bargain before December 25.

Delivery may cost you a bit more, but it can be worth it if the savings are decent.

Shop via outlet stores – you can save loads of money shopping via outlet stores like Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.

They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually any wear and tear is minor.

According to her, they prove to be popular with guests, with everyone tending to “love” them.

Her followers shared their thoughts on the quick recipe in the comments section.

“Not going to lie, I’m just going to make these and veg out on them on my couch [while] watching a movie cause I don’t do people,” wrote one viewer.

“Ooh, I’m 100% doing this for a picnic later this month!” said another person.

“I’ve done this with cranberry but found it too sweet. Caramelised onions is a great idea,” commented a third person.
