‘Survivor 47’ deleted scene: Genevieve is ‘worried’ about her status within the tribe [Watch]

In this week’s “Survivor 47” deleted scene from Episode 13, an extremely nervous Genevieve Mushaluk speaks directly to the camera about how “worried” she is as a member of the final five. (As it turns out, she was right to be worried.) We also catch a glimpse of the Treemail note that announces the impending immunity challenge. Watch the video on CBS’s website.

“For today’s immunity challenge, Rachel must not win,” Genevieve declares about her frenemy in the game, Rachel LaMont. “I have never felt so desperate going into an immunity challenge. And in addition to Rachel not winning, I want to win, because my idol is not a real idol, and I am worried.” The 33-year-old corporate lawyer from Winnipeg, Manitoba, hypothesizes that Sam Phalen, Teeny Chirichillo, and Sue Smey probably don’t care who goes home as long as it’s not any of them — and she’s correct.

Genevieve continues, “And so, if I don’t win, I am very vulnerable. This [challenge] today, I’m treating like a million-dollar challenge.” As viewers already know, Genevieve did indeed lose the contest to Rachel, and then Sam proceeded to tell everyone the truth about Genevieve’s fake idol. That resulted in a split vote at tribal council, with Genevieve receiving three votes to Sam’s two.

Also in the unaired clip, Rachel reads the day’s Treemail out loud to the other players: “This game sure is confounding. Pressures stack up in a hurry. The anxieties keep compounding. Now’s not the time to join the jury.”

Heading into next week’s two-hour season finale, only one person will earn the title of Sole Survivor and take home the $1 million grand prize. But who actually deserves to win?
